Never Forsaken
God's plan for Redemption
My readers know that my page is titled “Never Forsaken”.
This is not just a motto; it is a constant reminder to me of God’s remarkable love for me. Despite my failures, God has never and will never leave me or forsake me. He chose me before time began, to be His own. This totally boggles my mind.
I’ve been thinking how best to describe the wonder of His love and have written a poem that I pray will speak to you, that you too might know that in Christ, you are never forsaken. Your salvation is sure, not because of your good works, but because of God’s great love. No matter how uncertain or untethered life feels today, remember that God does not lie and He always keeps His promises.
In Deuteronomy 31, we read that Joshua is chosen to succeed Moses and lead the Israelites into the land God has promised to them. Previously, Moses had sent spies in to scout out the land, and the report came back that there were giants in the land, so the people feared entering the land. But two of the spies came back with a good report: Joshua and Caleb. In Deuteronomy 31:7b-11, Moses gives this charge to Joshua before all the people of Israel.
“Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land that the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give to them, and you shall put them in possession of it.
“It is the Lord that goes before you. He will be with you.
He will not leave you or forsake you.
Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Never Forsaken
In eternity past Before time began The Father, The Son and The Spirit formed a plan To create an existence Where mankind would walk In God’s holy presence And with Him would talk But man in rebellion Traded truth for a lie Sin fractured their union And now man must die Yet God knew before time That man would rebel So He promised a rescue To save mankind from hell God the Father, sent His Son For man’s sin to die Such a price He has paid To save one, such as I Beyond comprehension Is the mystery of grace That God became man To die in my place Before I was born Or time had begun God knew me and called me To come to His Son What honor, what glory That He would choose me It was nothing I did For His love set me free Chosen by God And forever His own Now I’m never forsaken And never alone.

I love this! Absolutely beautiful.
